I hope so was a little peeved about buying 2 7970s before i heard about this problem and then 770s coming out at such as low price point to compete with the 7970... But if this fixes the issue i'll be ok with AMD again

These driver things smell similar to the previous issue of amd drivers promoting lesser quality textures to obtain a higher frame rate.
Review results once posted and read are hardly ever removed or forgotten.
