Frag`s lappy is awesome (not 100% sure about black), what makes people swoon is when u show it off - and when they think they`ve seen all the nice clicky stuff.... u pull out the remote >.< `droolness` I`ve literally experienced females go weak at the knees and all girly-giggly.

if i didnt game, i would be all mac, the OS is great, simple clean and easy, now 15 years ago I HATED MAC it would crash for no reason at any time.

OS X is hard to beat. Think of it as Linux on steroids with easily the best nix GUI available.

Agreed.

OS X is the BEST EVERYMAN OS on the planet ... seriously it kicks teh as$ out of NE Win iteration (and also experience of it gives a nice possible progression path to Linux)

It is seriously advanced and intuitive ... GUI wise also V Slick

sure Linux has more advanced features and windows has more games ..

just remember

EA is now in the MAC lovefest and BF is comming to OS X (also Enemy Territory : QW is OS X/Win/Lin)

AS for the gr8 advanced linux features : either u can nano -w /etc/whatever or wait until a GUi is built to get whatever shiny new toy working perfectly (bleeding edge OS after all)

If u cant/dont use Linux I suggest crossing to the MAC side ( I may give OS X Leopard(86) a go)

Frag beauty of a setup there, its nice to see :)

I love OS X :)

It's deffinately the best OS I've used. I'm using it for everything appart from a few games and AutoCAD and I've had no problems.

I just want to say tho, EA have been quite poor so far in the way of OS X games. They aren't porting games to be fully OS X native, but instead are using a modified version of wine (Cider) to run windows games.

I've not upgraded to leopard yet tho :( as I'm not sure what features I would use. I have virtuedesktops on tiger so spaces isn't really needed and I think time machine will just be a bit of a waste of memory.

I have heard a fair few people have been having issues with ye old Leopard, but OS X is admittedly great - we used it in college and it was just to simple and intuitive, and it looked great. Vista seems to be mimicking many of the features that have been on OS X for ages, and with Leopard out now Apple find themselves even further ahead in the tech stakes.
