Decided to join up in a 25yd .22 pistol league this fall which starts next monday so I had to get me a new match grade gun... I'd have prefered to get a S&W Model 41 but seeing as how they discontinued those years ago and are now selling for $800 they are a bit out of my price range, so I opted for the newer incarnation the Model 22A which comes with a much cheaper price tag. But! The one I managed to get ahold of has a few nice little upgrades on it including thhe 5.5" weighted bull barrel and S&W wood thumbrest target grips (very comfy and easy to stabilize).
Picked this little beauty up today at NRA HQ from a buddy who has an FFL and then went right down stairs to the indoor range and sighted her in (took my XD40 and Ruger 30-06 w/ me too
). This little gun shoots like a dream, got her honed in with the open sights and I'll have to take it back to sight it in when my new red dot scope comes in which I ordered last week. This thing shoots darts at 25yds, I should be able to keep up with the leage pretty well with this piece.
