so, basically my rig is in my sig, i shall be dropping a phenom 1090t x6 into it and also 16gb of Gskill Ripjaw 1600mhz ram into it. (gfx card is silent

im wondering if this case would be good enough for a novice music recording rig, needs to be quiet as possible obviously, and cant use onboard gfx so sticking with the 4870x2 (i use triple 27" screens for recording, game on a 24" single monitor)

a few things drew me to the fractal XL... the sound deadning, the amount of HDD space, the extra PCI bracket above the exhistint PCI plates (my midi card has extra midi out/inputs on a seperate PCI plate, was thinking of this going there so it didnt take up an extra motherboard space)

what i was first thinking was getting rid of the 180mm fan at the top (doesnt look like its going to be very usefull) and dropping a NHD-14 into it (i will be running this phenom x6 STOCK, or a very slight possiblity of a 3.5ghz mild overclock, so obviously hoping to use ULN adapters which comes with the noctua.

my question is, what do you guys think, is there any better cases out there for less / slightly more?

also im not 100% on if my rig will then pull more than 650watts of power, i was thinking of selling my 4870x2 and getting a 5870 or 5770 as the only games i really play now is League of legends with some uni friends.

From all of the reviews that I've read the Fractal R3 is quieter than the XL.

Gigabyte do a passive 6770 - Silent Cell, but from what I've read if you spend very little more money you can get yourself a 6790 or an 6850 which give much better gaming performance.
