Fractal Design XL R2 vs Phantom 630

As written in the title, which case would you choose for:

1) Air cooling
2) Water cooling (configuration?) (CPU+1 GPU)

Hypothetically speaking, that they both have windows already.

Personally I would go with the Phantom 630 because I like the style of the case over the Fractal Design XL R2. Both appear to be great cases for air cooling. I can not speak on the side of Water Cooling as I have never done it. Those two cases for air I think it would come down to personal preference, sleek tradition style computer case (with front door shut) vs a more modern gaming style case.

Phantom 630 for both.

But they're meant for different things. The Fractal is meant to silence, whilst the Phantom is for performance. You get far more airflow in the Phantom.

I'd only buy the Fractal if I wanted a completely silent PC. But even then, I'm not sure why anyone would need a full tower silent PC.

My personal choice would have been neither if I felt the use for an XL case. Im more proned towards the sleek, no-fuzz design of the Fractal. NZXT is just a little bit to "disco" for my taste. However they are both nice builds - but so very different in the exterior design-language. Go for whatever you are leaning towards.
