Fractal design create Tempered Glass versions of their Define C series cases

I asked them if the tempered glass panel will be sold separately since to be frank the windowed panel in my original Define C is a bit disappointing.

Answer I got was that they may or may not be developing an upgrade kit. On Facebook they mentioned that they're working on backwards compatibility.

This case should have always come out with tempered glass. I really like Fractal, but releasing this now is a little weird to me.

Not too happy about design. It would had been so much better if they added hinges on the backside, would have been so much easier to handle. Also the black patterns around the bolts really makes it looks weird.

Shouldn't be scratching it anyway?

Yeah but it happens. Clear acrylic is notoriously easy to scratch, even with things that aren't very hard or sharp. Of course, fixing scratches in acrylic is pretty easy too. All you need is your finger and some toothpaste.

TG looks tons better too.

I just don't grab by the acylic^_^

I think tempered glass just looks classy. The lack of edges is sexy, LED's within the chassis appear richer, glass is thicker and gives the air of quality. It makes sense. Whether you like it or not is obviously personal taste, but there is a distinct difference.

I saw a case with Tempered glass at my local(ish) Fry's store and what you say is true but personally I don't think it's that much better as you put it. Yeah It is nicer sure but is that worth the extra money? Not at all in my opinion. Especially on a case that was priced low to begin with

Case Labs cases would look weird, I think, with tempered glass. Maybe that's because we're so used to their acrylic panels that anything different would be just... wrong. :p
