ok this is the rig so far things change all the time but for now here we go!

CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core G620 with corsair h80, Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth P67 Rev 3.0 1155, Graphics Card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 6870 Windforce 915MHZ x2 crossfire, Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB 4X4GB with ram cooler by Zalman ZM-RC1000, SSD 64 GB kingston , WD 650 GB for games pics videos....., powersupply Silverstone Strider 750 Plus 750W Modular, blueray + dvdrw all in a antec 1100.

OK now on to the question i know right the bottle neck must be the cpu but in bf3 as of FPS am getting 20fps to a max of 55fps on high settings do you think am ok ? i think it is kind of low must be cpu holding me back? FPS was recorded with afterburner and drivers are 12.2 from amd!

Why'd you go for that CPU in the first place mate? I reckon it's holding you back. What resolution are you playing at?

To me, that CPU just doesn't match the rest of the specs.

I looked up a benchmark for you:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/battlefield-3-graphics-performance,3063-11.html

He's getting 60 FPS with corssfire 6870s at 2560x1600, so yes, I'd say the CPU is definitely holding you back, unless you've got some other issue with your rig lol.

And even if you don't notice a difference in BF3, you will in CPU-heavy games and regular applications. Hell, I noticed my Q8200 @ 2,8Ghz was holding back my overclocked GTX470 so a Pentium Dual-Core will definitely be holding back your two 6870s!

yes sorry am using Samsung p2770 at 1920x1080.And for the CPU that was my first move to Intel still a good CPU but not for the rest of the rig as i can see! now i have the money for any CPU that fits in socket 1155 what do you think i should get? and am in crossfire 2x 6870 !

well after all that one of my card is defect

but i can still send it back and get a new one hope is not going to take 15 weeks XD . I was getting max 35 fps on most maps in BF3 in CROSSFIRE wow then went in to catalyst and disable crossfire and was getting up to 65 FPS 0_0 with just one card so what i did was opened the case up and tested one by one . and the last card i got is the one that is giving all the problems it work but feels like an old 8800gt all choppy and stuff. time to send her back!

well its not my cards me and you friend Chris did LOTS of testing last night flash my bios on the p67 did nothing still same fps in bf3 so we pulled the cards out and went to his place lives in the same block as me!, put them in this case and bingo bf3 at 1920x1080 at high settings 70fps so its not my cards its the MB

so am going for a new one 2011 socket most likely MSI big bang Xpower 2 with for now Intel Core i7-3820 Sandy Bridge!

Don't double (triple) post mate. You can always use the "edit" button.

How did you test the cards? Did you test the second card in the same PCIe x16 slot as the first one?

And why not just send the mobo back for RMA if you're sure it's faulty? Would safe you some money.

yes your right i will send the p67 back ! and yes tested the cards one by one in my set-up and in my friend and then in crossfire in his system also really looks like its my board

!

You thought about going for the 680 gtx? It's just as good as the 7970 if not better, and is cheaper.

Depends where you buy it, currently in holland the 7970 is up to 50/60 euro cheaper in some places

I do agree though, if he can get a 680 for cheaper or same price then he should get that, it's slightly better ^^

Since your MB is relativity new you might just want to keep your current board sine you are staying with the sandybridge and wont be upgrading to the Ivy bridge. Unless the z77 does anything for the sb cpu's but I do not think you will gain anything.
