It isn't healthy for the market for mobo manufacturers to become less and less. I can see them keeping their oem lines going as they don't require to be cutting edge or anything. And ofc they make a good handful of the mobo components everyone uses (which is partly why I can't understand them not being hugely successful as a mainstream mobo manufacturer) It has to be a marketing failure.

The next step would be for the likes of MSI to start bowing out, the worse case is where u'll end up with ASUS having more of an Intel-esq grip on the market where they can ultimately dictate more on pricing and releases. As soon as 1 manufacturer has a Microsoft-esq hold on the market, we'll all be in the sh1t.
