Foxconn motherboards no more?

Considering they make like everything that goes on all the other manufactures mobos I can't see this being a big blow to the company.

Sounds like maybe they've had their fun, shown a few people what they can do but have ultimately realised its more hassle than its worth.

Collectors item anyone?

It's the new foxconn socket 1366 motherboard for core i7... Which is the 'living' proof that foxconn will probably not stop producing for the coming time, even if it's just to get the research costs back.

Looks sweet but as said previous I doubt its any hardship IF they did stop producing mobo's cosidering they are the perhaps the biggest 'unknown' manufacturer anyway.

When: after the i7 and x58 release which is planned for mid november.

Where: I guess all good etailers, including the oc3d partners.

NOW that is a VERY nice looking board!!

if they are just releasing boards like this I doubt they are qutting the market, but if they are then they are going out with a bang!!

The reason for the 3 ddr3 slots is because they will be selling tripple ram kits, and as the other board you saw its has 6 so it can take 2 x tripple ram kits. you can get a 3gb kit which is perfect for 32 bit, and 6gb which is good for 64 bit os.

And the reason that they will be selling triple ram kits is because core i7 uses triple channel instead of the older dualchannel. And for triple channel, you need.. yes... 3 or 6 sticks :P
