Forza Motorsport 6: Apex exits beta with wheel support

Today Forza Motorsport 6: Apex has exited its beta stage on Windows 10, adding steering wheel support to this DirectX 12 racing game.

Really great stuff for Apex at long last, would like to give this a blast with a wheel though.. really can't justify the cost for the amount of racing I do though. Still I'll be checking out the final release for sure next week.

Get a wheel Wraith you won't regret it. I had a heap of racing games and was struggling with the xbox controller and now I'd never go back. They were driveable but weren't exactly competitive or fun. You don't have to spend too much but the right peripherals really make a difference. Same as HOTAS for flight sims. You wonder how you played without it.

I'm glad they added wheel support. It seems crazy to contemplate releasing a driving game without it.

I'll need to give it some thought but like I said with the limited number of racing games I play it's quite an expense plus having just dropped £400 on the 1070 it's not a wise move right now. I'm pretty proficient in using the XBone controller in Assetto, Forza & Dirt.

Ah a 1070 is probably a much more productive investment

I crash a lot less now but yeah they can be a big purchase. I put it into perspective my X52 must be nearly ten years old now and aside from a creak or two it's great and been well worth the outlay. Hope the G29 lasts a few years yet!

Of course now I want a sim rig to put it in...
