Honestly I wouldn't even risk this.. if it goes wrong it's going to be costly, I'd just get a good quality coolant like Mayhems and be done with it.

^^ this. Would you rater save £15 now and spend £100's to replace parts or just pay the £15 upfront and have peace of mind that your rig is safe from discoloration.

Food coloring is edible so I'd imagine it would break down relatively quick. Distilled + biocide is a safe bet, but I'd also get an actual wc dye if you wanted to have it colored.

I just dismantled my loop this weekend and expected to find lots of growth. My shitty tygon tubing was completely yellowed so I couldn't see the fluid at all. I was pleasantly surprised to find the water inside still clear and free of any growth whatsoever. The tube was just junk. I didn't rebuild the loop, I'm going to wait until a completely new build, and just went with an H105 for now. My loop was distilled + biocide + silver kill coil.

To add, I would probably go with colored tubing before colored liquid and stay with clear distilled + biocide.

food colouring usually containes glycarin / sugar.. probably gonna break down seperate then stick to the hottest part of the loop.
i wouldnt use it..

i would go with colored tubes and a piece of silver in youre pump or biocide not sure if biocide rust silver.

no the suger will feed anything thats left in the water even distilled water has some micro bio things lol

i think its fine to use silver if your all copper. and dont use silver if you have nickel plated stuff. pretty sure its that way arround, but i never remember stuff right so i just say some pt nuke used properly.

been eying up some mayhems emerald green for my loop. but i may just go coloured tubes it wont really cost much in difference either way.
