Just found out about F@H via our forums which are great BTW.
I have some immediate questions / concerns before I get involved though. I have tried to find this information out on the internet but no luck.
I hate to sound conspiracy theoryish, but in this day and age I like to know what programs and who I'm giving access to my computer resources/systems/files.
Questions / Concerns
1. My current rig is 8 years, old up to date virus/spyware/malware(new rig in process), would it even be able to help and still play online games?
2. When sending and receiving data with this F@H project are there any risks with privacy issues? ie...who you are/hardware/software/files etc...and before you wonder, no porn on PC.
3. Thinking of pausing on my new rig build to build a stand alone F@H dedicated rig to run 24-7.
4. Hate to sound like the anal retentive / materialistic weasel, but if were sharing our resources and your computer is the one that discovers a cure, do you get a share in the proceeds that will no-doubt follow that cure? I'm sure I'll probably get flammed for this one
