Hi,

Going to try and build a computer from scratch by myself, and need some help because I don't know fully what I'm doing :s

Here's the build I am thinking off:

Case: BitFenix Shinobi https://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecial...th+Window+Midi+Tower+Chassis+?productId=44844

CPU / RAM / Motherboard: Gladiator Bundle https://www.aria.co.uk/Systems/Syst...K+4.80GHz+Overclocked+Bundle+?productId=45639

Optical drive: Samsung http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Comp...TA+16x+DVD-ROM+(Black)+-+OEM+?productId=44562

Hard drive: WD Caviar Black 1TB https://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecial...AEX+3.5"+SATA+III+Hard+Drive+?productId=40242

PSU: Corsair TX650M http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Comp...igh+Performance+Power+Supply+?productId=45688

GPU: Gainward GTX580 Phantom http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Comp...R5+PCI-Express+Graphics+Card+?productId=45346

Total comes down to £1110

Please give me your thoughts,

Thanks

Edit 1 - Just noticed it says I can only buy one hard drive at a time?, does this mean I should just go for a single hard drive or change to a different one?

EDIT 2 - Just changed it into midi tower rather than M-atx, just want to know if all this is compatible (I've checked it but just incase I missed anything out) and wanted to know if anything is worth changing

Dude you qualify for free shipping from Aria. PM RawZ & he'll sort it out for you.

The Vulcan case, while not a bad case has lots of mesh on the side so it will be a real dust trap. It will also let all the noise leek out, so won't help if you're into quiet...

i would say get a normal 500GB hard drive forget raid save the £40 or what ever add that to your £40 remaining now and you get £80 for a 64GB SSD

OR

get a modular PSU im not 100% sure but it cant be that easy to tidy cables in a matx build

The Power supply I got listed is already modular, and is it worth getting braided power cables to make the whole system a lot tidier?

oops lol didnt notice i tbh would just get the SSD its amazing what kind of difference some of them make

oh and you can get 570s for like £230 on the bay brand new so theres £50 you could potentially save and you dont need a optical drive

just noticed that theres a matx case w/ atx motherboard thats a no go im afraid

Ok I've changed the build now into a MIDI tower one, don't want to have a messy system because I want to change some things in the future, just want to know if all this will work, for example is 650W enough for single 570 etc, because I want to order it very soon, thanks

Ok I changed the DVD drive to a really basic one, so the total comes down to £1100, but will a 650W PSU be able to handle a 580?

And also will the case be able to hold the 580?

Also thanks for the help

Only thing now to get the most out of your build would be a SSD for boot. But other than that it looks very solid. Hope you get around to post some pics once you got it all built up and ready

yerr go for th 2500k and an ssd. Also id go for the 580 over the 570 phantom because there the relatively the same price.

Ok I finished building my PC,

and when I turned it on, only had my keyboard / mouse / hdmi to monitor in, it keeps rebooting itself, I pressed the on switch and it started running all the fans etc as it would, but it showed nothing on the screen and then 3-5 seconds later it just reset itself and kept doing the same thing over and over, was just wondering what could be the problem, I will try and change the reset switch because I might have it the wrong way, but if not, can anyone tell me what is wrong with the PC please

EDIT - Ok I unplugged the hard drive and the PC managed to boot to BIOS without any problems, does this mean I need to RMA my hard drive then?

Also a bit offtopic, I plugged my mouse into my new PC, and when plugging it back into my old PC it doesn't work -.- , any reason why D:
