Essence STX 1 or 2 should be fine if you want it for headphones. Don't get a 7.1 card, no point, the essence will sort out virtualised surround just fine.
okay thanks, any luck on my further issue tho sub? as to why this is happening on different system different headphones and why it only works if i use the USB sound card, and then use the swap L/R option
I dont mind using the soundcard its just the sound isn't loud enough but with the Creative sound card it's TOO loud

Not really sure it's a very strange one. Especially with it not being the headsets, i.e. you've tried more than one. At this point we're trying to eliminate the cause. which as far as it sounds, is the sound output from your computer.
Is there a reason as to why you can't just permanently swap the L/R and just be done with it?
The essence has one of the best available headphone amps, which you can adjust to suit your current headphones/headset, if it's too loud you can always turn it down

How would i permanently swap the L/R outside of using the USB soundcard?
it even does it with onboard sound from the mobo?
I can't just flip the headset I.E the mic is behind my ears and after few minutes it's uncomfortable. is there a way to SWAP THEM via software?/channels?

Mate for some reasons your L/R channels are swapped.
Check you're not running in 5.1 or something else not made for your setup, I'm thinking you may be running quadraphonic since the sounds are going away when they should be coming towards. Could be something deep in the windows sound settings that is swapping your channels around, but I personally don't think it's reason to be swapping out your hardware since you say even the onboard sound is causing the same issue.
EDIT : It's a long shot but if you're using the front audio port on your PC case that means you might have plugged the internal audio cable from case>mobo/case>soundcard the wrong way 'round.

the way it's hooked up right now is the soundblaster is hooked up in the pci-e slot, then i plugged headphones into the back of the soundblaster.
I've tried hooking it up via green hole on mobo but no luck there either.. I go to my speaker options and click configure it's set to stereo.. not 5.1

Have you been using the same model of headset for all 3 and have you tested them on a different system? It's not impossible to end up with a batch wired up incorrectly and be unlucky enough to have 3 from that same batch. It definitely sounds like the headset is the cause of the issue here.

That is plain weird, and certainly would rule out the headphones being the cause in my eyes. Does the windows audio test come out backwards too? (right click on the speaker icon and select playback devices then click on configure and select test) The SB pro audio panel should have a similar test available too. This will tell us whether everything is reverse stereo or just games. If you then fade to one channel only using the balance control (in the levels tab under properties when "speakers" is selected through playback devices) then test out a few games, media playback etc and see if the problem is consistent.
