So i finally got around to my rig, and i just upgraded the bios of my M.IV.E and i started,

so far i'm at 4515MHz with a high of 66C with prime running (sry can't get the delta cuz i don't have the room temps, but its pretty warm cuz its a small room i'm in right now)

i'm going to set the voltage to 1.35 and then see what the max stable OC is, then if i'm not happy i'll be trying to go higher

i also have a question, does anyone know if asus can get a OC without only using turbo? because i know a few companies are allowing that, but not all.

and another question, what is igpu? and can i/should i turn it off?

Thanks guys, i'll keep you posted

ok, so i've been running prime for a while now, at 4916MHz using 1.360 volts and the temps are max 72C

i've also tried for 5GHz but the problem is that i can get it with 1.36 or 1.37 volts, but its not stable

so i decided to just leave it at a x49 multi, and do a long term prime test.

so what do you think? is this ok for a 24/7 OC??? or should i change something

I definaitly wound NOT reccomend running a overclock that high for 24/7 useage! not only because the temps are really to high but it will also wear out your chip twice as fast

I run mine at 4.5@Stock volts and my temps are like 50-55 full load. Its not worth pushing it that far for 24/7 because its so fast stock anyway!

nice OC though would run some benches then turn the multi down abit!

open cpu z and when you put it under load does the voltage spike? cuz it does on most sandy boards just wondered what load vcore you get

Looking good

The 2500k has a Tcase at 72.6c.You should be fine there

Socket 1366 i7-9xx has a Tcase at 67.9c,and its known to be safe up to 70c.

I am running my 2600k at 4.7ghz @ 1.38v 24/7 folding stable, max temps 73c.

Thanks for the input. This morning my rig was off

it was stable with prime, so to test it I left it folding over night, checked it 30min~ after it started folding and everything seemed fine, but it must have crashed when I was sleeping.

I'm going to lower the clock to 4.4-4.6 and try to find a sweet spot around there to keep as a 24/7 OC because I do want this chip to last me a good while and TicTac is right, for all my needs I will be more then happy.

(only thing I might wanna try is to simply CPU-Z validate my highest clock, I'm gonna try to push it to 5.2 or something dumb, haha )
