FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 HD will have a locked framerate on PC

Don't see why people fuss over locked framerate. If it was intended and designed that way then it plays best that way. Remember N4S Rivals? It was locked. If you unlocked it it looked out of place. It's not really a big deal and with FreeSync/GSync it should be less of an issue since it's already going to look smooth.

Because in this day and age it's bullcrap that's why. 30fps is unacceptable. Locking it is either someone being lazy because they tied something to the framerate, or being lazy because they can't be bothered to optimise properly.

Not bullcrap if they intended it to be built that way. Nothing lazy about it. They have their reasons for doing it. You don't see yourself complaining about Blu ray do you? It's 24fps locked.. but you accept it because thats just how they are made. Its the same concept but applied to a game. You can try and change it, people will, just will have time syncing issues.

wow that's seriously not comparable at all. Bluray is 24fps because just about all formats prior to that were 24fps and for movies, it works.

Forgetting the 48FPS Hobbit releases?

The limitation on bluray and 24fps is *purely* one of storage, double the framerate, double the amount of space it takes up. That's including filming, editing, processing, mastering, and putting to disc. That's not a small deal.

In games, there is simply no excuse. You should know better NBD

Yes those were 48FPS.. and?
You are proving yourself wrong.. Like I said, Blu ray is that way for a reason and you don't see anyone complaining about it. Because that's the way it is. Same thing for games. It's not an excuse. It's the way it was intended if they so choose to put it that way. It's not an excuse when it's intended to be played that way. I do know better hence why it's not a big deal. It's not a PC game. It's being ported over, this was launched back in 2011 for PSP. And simply being remastered for PS4, Xbone, and PC. What more can you expect? It was created on the PSP.. Now if it was from the start in development for PC then I would agree with you. However not coming form a PSP or any remaster from a previous generation. So again, the reason it is locked was because it was originally designed for PSP. I'm sure they have technical issues preventing from further upping the limit and well for that reason it's intended for 30fps to get the best experience to avoid said issues.
