File recovery

I think you lose support with the free version. Maybe a feature or two. I don't remember there being a limitation on file size or number of files you can recover.

Another program I've used is handy recovery. Their trial version does have a limit of 1 file per day. There is also an old freeware version at the bottom of their download page with no limitations.

Thanks man, I'll give this a try.

I'd reccomend stellar pheonix but its not free unless you're a super haxxor and can crack dem 1's and 0's

Ugh, it's almost pointless. I totally raped my C: drive beyond recovery by making it raid with another MX100 and then installed Windows 8.1 over it.

I made a backup before hand, a typical copy/paste job (to 3 separate storage devices no less), but when I went to move those files back, all of them were shortcuts? I can't believe I didn't notice that before I did my reinstall.

Most of the files are just for my article work here, stock images for some articles and files to make up graphs for our reviews. Sadly the most crushing loss is a lot of my work for me uni project, which is due next friday.

I'll be able to rewrite the report, but now I'm a bit behind. I'll need to find all my references again........ugh.
