Fatherhood.

The time is lurking ever close as in a few weeks I will be a Father to a hopeful healthy little man.

I must admit, from hearing the news to looming a few weeks from due date it has certainly gone quick!

In that time I have certainly become an expert at assembling flat pack furniture. From turning the spare bedroom (It was meant to be my office/playroom - god damn it) to a nice kitted out nursery.

The little dude isn't even here yet and he's sapped my bank balance already. I now look at my computer and think to myself, "Sorry mate, you ain't getting upgraded anytime soon"

Big changes lay ahead..

Good luck fella :) I have a 12 year old girl and she doesn't get cheaper mate :). When you have children your life does change dramatically, personally for me it was for the better as it stopped my selfish ways. "well some of them apart from my rig" ;)

Mate, your life is about to change! My son is now almost 10 months old and being busy with work doesn't leave much free time, hence why I've not been so active on here or with my project.

You'll soon learn to type really quietly and play games with one headphone slightly off the ear!

I'll give you one piece of technology related advice - get a good camera to capture the moments. When they are young the changes are rapid!

To my shame..
I found it more convenient to game on a console for the 1st few months Of my youngests life..
We took shifts and i had the night shift. so me and the wife would take turns and the munchkin had a little wicker basket thing in the living room. i would sit next to her all night and watch her, and id play some single player games for about 40 seconds or so.. Then have to do something to either keep her settled or stop a stinky. soo best to be playing something you can pause and not have any issues with.
They seem to eat a little and VERY frequently at the begging. so you better be on call. because once they are upset they stay upset for quite a while. But that only lasts a few months then they settle down great..

Good luck.
And yeah upgrades are the 1st thing to stop happening. followed by anything else you may want. then after that things the wife may want have to be sacrificed too..
But its deffo worth it..
and congrats.
