Hi mate,

Just though I'd start a new thread to see if we can help you improve that 3dm05 score (the 03 score is mighty impressive BTW).

Tell me more about your rig - I notice some parts are watercooled does that include the GPU's?

What temps do you currently get (idle/load)?

Try running with vitrual memory (pagefile or swapfile) on a separate disk to the C drive and set it to system cache instead of programs.

Turn off system restore, firewall and any anti virus software.

All use LOD teaks using Rivatuner and disable AA&AF in nvidia display settings.

In Nvidia dsiplay settings set quality level to high performance and switch v-sync off.

Also enable Advanced and scroll down the new settings look for SLI rendering mode and enable multi GPU rendering.

I alos found that 81.85 gives a better 3dmark score to 81.95 (although I am running with 81,95's right now).

This should yield a better result for ya with what you have now.

Cheers

Mav

Remember, don't change them before I get the board lol. I wanna see what you did with it before I got arsing about with it. Blew up my DFI board before cos I blew the NB up hehe. Too many volts, you gotta love it!!

Cheers Mav.

Just my CPU under w/c atm. Waiting for DD to produce new SLI block for the 512mb versions :(

I'll check temps tonight (my cpu is still very cool @ 3Ghz. My GFX raise to about 75c under load because 1 card cannot get good cooling (need DFI expert)

I'll try all the other tweaks tonight, I already set v-sync to "off" and quality to "High performance"

thanx again Mav.

The DFI is special as it has BIOS setting saved for FX and for X2 CPU's in the CMOS reloaded. Be mindful that it's set-up for 3.6v though - so lemme know if you want me to set it up for TCCD or other low volts RAM.

The chipset and LDT voltages are set at optimum (probs 0.2v over stock) - making them any different to what I have em set at will cause instability ;)

DaGov have you got 2 512's in sli if so dont get the expert you need the an832 as it the 512's are suppose to utilise the extra bandwidth from the duel 16x pci-e slots the 256's dont

Yeah I read it in custom pc they did a reveiw on the mobo I cant remember if they did or didnt try the 512's in it or not

I think they tried the 256's and it didnt make a difference

Ok, I did most of the changes above, and went to restart after my machine asked me to. Then i got some random security error and windows wouldn't load... corrupt files or something

Anywayz, done a format and clean install and did the changes again. this time it rebooted fine but SLI wasn't recognised, then my machine crashed and qouldn't reboot lol.

After another clean install. I only changed the Virtual memory to "system cache" and the SLI rendering to Auto (multi-gpu). I ran 3dmark05 but it errors out after the first test saying it has ran out of video memory. So I turned it back to "Programs".

I managed a 14499, So I just edged Fatty out of 10th

All this was at 7:30 this morning so I didn't have a chance to tweak any more settings before having to come to work. I'll give it another go later tonight.

Some people find that disabling the SLI apeture has a better effect on their stability.

Dont forget some of my settings mean that max overclock is sacrificed for ultimate performance ;)

Also if you do not have BH5 RAM some of the memory timings will not suit either.

Mav is there anyway u can setup the DFI to have settings for the FX with OCZ VX type RAM and BH5? I'm more than likely goin with Geil BH5 stuff but just so I have 2 options, and 1 with the X2.

Hmmm, I'm turning into a mav 8) using the same settings, half his old kit, ahhh!!

My best scores so far where on the wendy mobo :O I still haven't been able to gain back that 3k I lost in 03 I have come close but nope
