Hi there
Just finished my first build using the Z77 Mpower as the MB.Anyway every thing went well and it posted first time.....
I've already done the mild OC to 4.2 using the Genie. Now the thing i cant seem to get to work is the software or board are not picking up some of the fans. If i look in the control center i get a reading for CPU and fan 2 only! but i have fans plugged in to 1/3/4 aswell.By the way all the fans are spining so temps are not a problem i would just like to be able to control them.

I am no expert on fans but I believe that only 4 pin fans can be controlled via software? I am most likely wrong however lol

Not necessarily. It depends on the motherboard. But in most cases you're right.

Tbh, you're better off buying fan speed reducers or similar so control the fans.
Doing it of motherboards just makes it messy.

On my motherboard only 3 fan headers can be controlled: CPU, Sys1 and Sys2. Have a look to see if your board has something similar. I you really want control via the motherboard, you can power more than one fan per header with splitter cables.
As James said though, using voltage reducers and splitter cables is generally the preferred way of doing things. Set it up and leave it be :)

I have got the MSI Z77A-GD65 with 4 system fan connectors and i can only see the tabs for cpu, System1 and System2 in control center. I am not quite sure how the mpower works but i would assume that you can control the other 2 fans as well, if you have the tabs to see the profile.
