fan sensing

Quick question, does the ST controller require a rpm signal from both fans ? if so , what is the minumum frequency that they need ?

seems to be more complicated than I had hoped for,

fans start of at 13.6V (transformer on mach II unit), then when PC starts up it takes the 12v from the PC..

basically looking to run fans slower as they seem to run full speed on ST..

Im missing the fan software control & also no idea of temps because of this mobo is a bit of a pain..

think Ill prob just get the GT & sell this one (new I shoulda bloomin waited, lol).

By the way the official reply to this is :

"On the Mach II ST you can't do anything to alter the fans. The sensor goes with a fixed-RPM value so just a minor change would make the alarm go on the unit."

This is news to me as I'm sure it is to you guys too. What this basically means is you cannot stick the fans on to a baybus relay or a fan controller without the alarms going off on the unit.

yup thats what I figured..so GT on pre order :D

(not an easy one explaining to the misses that I have to buy 2 phase change systems in off one months pay ! Although it is amazing what you can get away with by bunging a few quid at em for a treat yourself shopping trip).
