Not sure about how many fans it can do, but if you are thinking of hiding it in the case the Bitfenix Recon might be a good idea. You can control it over the internet on your PC or phone if you are on Android or iOS.
If you want to hide it out of sight just push it deeper into the case and drill some custom screwholes there so you can keep the case stock front cover in place in front of it.
I've hidden a couple of DVD drives like that as well that people wanted to have but not wanted to see.
This was my solution, 2x Aquaero 5 LT's giving 8 channels of voltage control, 6 of the channels have a pair of radiator fans on them, the rear exhaust fan has it's own channel and the LED's are on the remaining one. I hid it behind the front radiator and had Pexon make me 6 custom length splitters that were assembled through the motherboard tray.
You can get 5/7/12v splitters that go 1 molex < 6x 3-pin fans, I personally prefer this as you just set up your fans at a volume/airflow that is acceptable, then you never have to worry about fan speeds again. Whereas with a controller you're forever twisting knobs when going from surfing internet to playing games... just seems unnecessary to me.
In addition, if your case has half-decent cable management then it's not too hard to hid all the cables round the back; no harder than hiding 13 fan cables coming out the back of a fan controller.
