Fallout 4 rumoured to launch this year

Several retailers have listed Fallout 4's shipping date as 'TBA 2015'. Might the apocalypse be unleashed this year?

Read more on Fallout 4 possibly launching this year.

I'm completely objective, but I'm guessing this is fake. Solely due to this:

Unlike Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, you can only play as a man. This is due to the storyline requiring it. However, after the main story is over, you can have a gender change. BGS did not rule out Females for possible standalone DLC, however.

If BGS launches the possibility to play as a female as DLC and/or forces you to play as a male throughout the story, only allowing a change after the story has ended, I'm boycotting the game (especially if it launches as DLC)

Very nice find though, I did see quite a few features I think will be in the game!

I hope they'll include that Classic mode too, that sounds amazing.

EDIT: a Redditor also pointed out this:

In Fallout 4, you are in Boston, and it takes place in the year 2287, exactly 10 years after Fallout 3 (..) Bryan Wilks returns from Fallout 3. Yes, the little boy you saved from Grayditch. He is now 19 years old and is a mercenary

ProTip: He (Bryan Wilks) is 8 years old in Fallout 3

Lol if that is real, they'd be in some serious NDA trouble..

we are making the game more "Story Based" and the player character will finally talk, and narrate his storyline.

Is absolutely spot on though and she posted that (unless Sandra is a he) 11 months ago.

I'm just wondering if Bethesda have pulled a Valve on us and pretty much finished the game before even announcing it.

I'm going to get "Heretic" shouted at me but even though I've only played around an hour total of Fallout 3 I've never been too keen on Fallout, Just didn't grab me mainly to do with the fact that I've never liked the post apocalyptic type scene.

The closest to that genre I've gotten is RAGE which I did enjoy as it reminded me of quake.

Fallout 3 was terrible IMO. The game required exploration, yet the entire world was grey. Literally depressed me to play that game.

It's not abnormal that you weren't grabbed by it. Lots of my gaming chums never understood what I saw in it and why I would replay it so many times (at least 10 70+ hour playthroughs)

But I guess that's what TES is for, for everyone that doesn't like Fallout.

RAGE is classic Carmack. A dated (yet fun) shoot em up with minor RPG elements. I did like RAGE but the only thing it really had in common with Fallout was the theme.

See I love exploration games like Morrowind, Obvlivion and Skyrim because you see different places, Sure Skyrim had a lot of places that looked the same but it was set in a snowy region but Fallout, That whole game to me looked more plain than a bread sandwich with filling made with bread XD

IF F4 is more varied in it's terrain and scenery then I might give it a look but if it's F3 with a new coat of paint then I'll pass.

One hour into a game that as a first time playthrough takes 100 hours is nothing.

Quite obviously it wasn't for you. Sadly the only one missing out is you, because the emotions this game can poke are like no other game I have ever played. Half Life has some very believable characters and settings but they absolutely pale in comparison to Fallout 3.

It's by far the finest video game I have ever played and absolutely nothing else even comes close.

You've really missed out dude. I'm surprised you even made it out of Vault 101 in an hour, you obviously wasn't paying attention to the dialogue so already you would have missed the point.

Nah not missing out if I don't like it, I've watched playthroughs on youtube and still didn't like the look of it, It goes in my "Never play because it's crap or boring category".

I played the main storyline which took no time at all then the game just ended - I mean wtf, no option to do side quests or explore..

I've had a look around and the pure hate fallout fans are giving people who don't like the game is beyond childish.

People need to remember not everyone likes the same things and that it's ok if someone doesn't like the same game as you.

You're supposed to wander off, hence the name "Lone Wanderer" as your character lol.

Then, with all due respect, why are you even posting in this thread?

It's like me going in a men's boxer shorts forum saying "I don't like boxer shorts I prefer pants".

Oh come on!! Take your time Bethesda please, I have Witcher to finish yet then Arkham Knight, then I have to get GTA V (eventually).. Oh well who needs a social life.

Everything else will go in the bin when this launches. Every game since Fallout 3 has only been something to kill time with until Fallout 4 comes out :D

I prefered New Vegas over 3. Still excited though. Can't help but feel a little bit worried that they'll do something really stupid however.
