I need a new gpu, ofc, and i want it to ba able to play fallout 3 at max settings inc aa, will the xfx 260 black edition 216 be able to handle it? my budget is bout 150, will this be enough or will i need to dip into the funds a little more? thanks in adv.

Three things to consider:

Cost

Speed

..

Your pc sounding like an aircraft is in it.

If u don't mind the aircraft, sell a kidney and get a 280.

Versus the 4890, think 275.

Versus the 4870, think 260.

I'm not sure if the above do the max MAX that perhaps a 280 would do, eyecandy and all.

EDIT: Addon upd8 for F3 meant to be out, don't know what it's like.

Had been looking at the XFX and Asus versions of the 4890, only difference I can see is that the Asus has the Voltage Tweak software to up the GPU clock to 950MHz. Normally see that for about £165 so that price is pretty good. The XFX gives you HAWX, a 2 year warranty and an XFX door hanger too so it might still be worth the extra £20! ;)

I dont need the door hanger XD

Er overclocked one is cheaper? sounds good to me asus it is!

Dont play hawx, tryed demo on 360, got boring, warrenty? pfft, asus have warrenty aswell.

apparently the asus is noisy on stock cooling but water or good aftermarket cooler could solve ur problem there :)

the asus card does say voltage tweak on the box! so maybe ur good for warranty if clocked to death :)
