Fable Legends will be a Windows 10 Store exclusive

Sorry but I Totally disagree with this statement.

This means that gamers may have to keep track of yet another library of games, which can get very annoying for many gamers.

It would actually make it easier since all it requires in your Microsoft login and no 3rd party apps or programs.

Just think if you have to format windows soon as you boot up all your apps/games library is ready to go.

Not Hating on steam but this is a good move for gamers as it will push Microsoft in a good direction.

We all remember what a fail Windows Live gaming app was xD

With Microsoft's Windows store it only allows you to install your stuff on a limited number of systems, so for people like me who regularly do a clean install, this will be very annoying.

While it may seem easier to go all Microsoft, but the affect is still the same, a new place where your games are. I already have Battle.net, Steam, origin, Uplay and GOG, my games are segregated enough.

This will just cause the usual idiot wasters to start screaming and crying -

"Oh no Windows store is built into Windows 10 that means I have to spend a grand total of 30 seconds opening it up and clicking play WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

People need to stop getting offended by these things it's pathetic.

Yes it is limited in the same way your OS is so as long as you able to install and activate your good togo.

Don't get me wrong i also use alot of third party launcher and i dont really like anything 'exclusive' but i like the idea of how it could 'possibly' turn out.

Love em or hate windows aint going anywhere xD

All I want now is an AIO win 10 app that collaborates all my separate game libraries together.

I guess they don't really wanna sell it much then?

Feels like they're trying *very* hard to do with Apple did with their app store for OSX, the issue is apple certify *everything* that touches it, M$ won't do that and it'l just fall apart. If they had the same submission process for the Store as they do for f'in Xbox / Xbone games, then maybe it'd work, but that's never going to happen.

Windows store is already on Windows 10 and auto logs you in if you use an MS account, All you do if you want them game is launch the app like you do with Steam or Origin and buy the game, BOOM mind blown all done.

It's not like it's on your neighbors rig and you have to go round and to theirs to play it, It's on the same system you just hover your mouse over the MS button instead of the Steam button.

People are making a mountain out of a mole hill, It's a non issue.

if you use an MS account,

I don't use an MS account for my install, and don't intend to.

My point is, what about people that are *not* on Windows 10.. there are still quite a few people sticking with the other versions. Steam and other third party apps are cross-version compatible and most people already have them installed whether they are upgrading or fresh, or on 7 or 8.1.

Putting this on the Windows 10 store.. just.. seems like a nice easy way to limit your customer base, and thus, sales.

You have to remember Fable Legends is DX12, So logically why would it be on previous versions of Windows ?

Also you don't need to have a local Windows MS account to use the MS store, You just login to the MS store with your account and do it that way but having a Windows 10 MS account just logs you in automatically to the store.

To be fair to Microsoft, they are actually making a decent effort to push into the next generation of PC gaming. Rather than shoehorning these things into an old OS they've focused all efforts for the future with Windows10+ (which hopefully equals more stability and performance across the board). They even gave out the new OS for free, that was a great move.

I suspect the reason it's on the Win10 store only is due to the new Xbox Live feature integration for Windows10 and for a social game such as Fable Legends it is a good test case.

This will be one of many cross over games coming to microsoft.

Killer instinct will also be available for PC as a cross over product. Im excited to experience both on the PC.

Soooo, this is the beginning of the end of your actual freedom on the Windows platform. Didn't took long for M$ to spring the trap. They are on their way of shoving down your throat all they want and restrict everything and anything else.

I want to play fable on my PC. It's running Windows 7 with a DX11 video card. There is NO technical reason to justify why I shouldn't be able to play fable on my PC. But M$ unilaterally decided that no, I won't. A 100% pure artificial, marketing segmentation limitation, on the back of all of us, the end users. There is no value-add or upside to this for us.

F*ck M$ fascist NSA loving dictatorial closed garden business model where you own NOTHING, where the concept of "product" has been replaced with "services" that you must rent on a monthly basis FOREVER and infected with micro-transactions, DLCs and many other Orwellian draconian limitations.

If for some reason, M$ decide, even by mistake, to block you, you literally lose access you ALL your stuff. How's that prospect makes you feel? That M$ is judge, jury and executioner and you have no recourse whatsoever? That at any time M$ can change the rules, the prices, the way you use THEIR software (you own nothing, only rent, remember), unilaterally, without warning, without your consent?

I will NEVER upgrade to Win10, I will NEVER buy a XB1. I will NEVER support M$ prison camp business model. I want to OWN my stuff, I want to pay once and use forever, as it should be, as with EVERYTHING else in life. I want to be able to re-sell my stuff eventually to make a little money out of it. I want to be in control of my PC and the accessibility to my software and data 24/7/365 without ANY kind of restriction.

DX11 and Win7 is the end of the road for me, until Win10 is fully hacked and spyware free . I'm sure I won't have to wait too long for that. Or maybe M$ will come to its senses when releasing Windows 11. Good luck to the other fools who willingly jumped into that software Gulag nightmare.

BOYCOTT FABLE ON WINDOWS 10 TO SHOW YOUR OPPOSITION TO M$ INITIATIVE.

Simple, Go use Linux if you hate MS that much.

I'm still trying to figure out what services I apparently rent on a monthly basis other than my internet ^_^
