F@H GPU2 beta client for NVIDIA now released

Fantastic news!

Can someone tell me if you can still run the SMP client in the back ground?

Apparently so but some people have encountered errors. It's advised to keep SMP usage to no more than 95% but my GPU client is using 100% of a CPU core so I'm not sure if that would affect any SMP folding (If I had quad core :p).

GPU client on Fahmon is reporting 5292 PPD, CPU Console client is reporting 352 PPD, your average SMP client gets about 1100-1800 PPD? Seems to me you're better off running the GPU client and a set of single core clients if you experience any slowdown with a SMP & GPU combo.

Smithy had any problems with it? As the console doesn't agree with SLI.

Nope. 2 WU down in 1hr... So far so good :)

I implemented the fix in Deshams post #24 (repped btw)

ok i have vista 32bit and 177.35 drivers and all that happens when i try to run it is get an error msg about a serious error and then it shuts down, any ideas guys?

How do i get it running on a 8800gt on vista 64?

All it does is sit on test protein and does nothin

does it include modding some kind of driver and shizz?

if so, i could just wait for next release which will fix this (?)

Not at all - If you don't fancy modding 177.35 200GTX drivers to work with your own card you can install the standard CUDA enabled drivers.

After that just install the client and run it. Don't use the viewer, just let it sit in your system tray. They acknowledge that the viewer is highly bugged and can actually cause a drop in productivity so recommend you use Fahmon to monitor how your folding is going.

It runs the test protein if you paused it or if it's attempting to download a WU - If you're constantly receiving this check F@H can access the net :)

I have issues with this modded driver.

I do everything said and it has no problem installing but the installation is way to quick for a driver.

I restart and it hasn't been installed. I manually install it using device manager and it comes up with an error. :(

Bit of a daft question but it's a common mistake; are you downloading the correct drivers (32/64bit) and uninstalling the previous ones first? You should also check that the nv_disp.inf you're using matches the driver.

Did the standard CUDA driver work for you?

Nps, thanks :)

Old drivers were uninstalled, chose the correct INF from the Guru3D forum that the folding forum linked to.

64Bit windows XP. Just doesn't work. :(

iv just got it working

did u edit the .inf driver info by double clicking the file u copied into the extracted driver installer?

Just got the drivers working and my god are they good!

But I have never seen a temp of 93oC from my 9800 before... so wonder what Nvidia have done to get the cores to that temp.
