I personally really enjoy playing stuff in 3D. Although often a subtle change in a game, for some odd reason it just looks more 'real' in my head.

Eyefinity looks cool on paper and works well for some games, but as your eyes can only properly focus on a very small portion of your view, I got irritated turning my head to look at the screens either side of me.

SO my vote is 3D.

Id stick to eyefinity mainly because you can use this for other things other then gaming..If the 3d gaming are a lot more matured and many gaming companies flood the market with 3d games then im all in. I hope amd would bring in their version of 3d gaming. It would be great paired with eyefinity.. 6990+3d+eyefinity= Pawned

Eyefinity or nvidia's multi screen because its not as gimicy imo, but mainly because I don't believe 3d gaming will remain in its present state for more than a couple of years, by that I mean it will most likely evolve with better screen technology so you don't need the glasses.

Eyefinity doesn't mess with your vision after use

I have heard that some people actually had medical issues with it, mainly headaches and the like, but even after a 5 hour gaming session at the weekend I didn't notice anything different personally.

3D does seem a bit gimmicky at the moment, but more and more companies are factoring it into their game development. All they need is the price of the kit and monitors to come down. I wouldn't have bought them full price but I got my monitor in a sale and the kit brand new at a cheaper price on eBay.

I must admit I was tempted to go Surround as opposed to 3D, but I could neither afford the extra 2 monitors or the space that they'd take up.

If you are comparing Eyefinity to 3D Surround (Nvidia 3 monitor). AMD Eyefinity all the way. It's a lot more mature software wise, so it scales a lot better compared to Nvidia. Also Eyefinity can go up to 24 monitors as opposed to three =D.

If you are comparing Eyefinity with nVidia 3D, I would still go Eyefinity, since I don't get the point in 3D, and it causes a massive drop in frame rates and the technology still isn't mature and the only benefit I persoanlly see in it is ZOMFG THE SCOREBOARD IN CoD IS POPPING OUT OF THE SCREEN!!!!!!

Eyefinity as it makes gaming easier from the looks of things. Its like having a very high FOV without the strange looking weapons, plus it can be useful outside of gaming and imo it is much more advanced than Nvidia's surround and 3D...

I would say nvidia 3d, im not to fussed about having games spread across 3 or more screens. I think i would get more enjoyment out of 3d not just with games i could also use it to watch 3d blue rays wile having some beers with the lads just a shame about the goofy glasses.

3d eyefinity? lol, but not eyefinity as helps view more of the game 3d's just a bit ooooh*gets a sore head after an hour*

It's pretty shoddy to use Eyefinity to this extent and use monitors that aren't fit for purpose. It's like looking from behind a grill and you get the feeling afterwards.

You can get screens for such builds without inches of plastic running around them.
