External rad options

Hey guys I bit the bullet and bought a Zalman GT1000 (got it cheap). Since im going to be watercooling it I'm in need of some options. Though i would like nothing more than to purchase a Zalman reserator XT to pair it up with I don't think it will be able to cool a Phenom X4 and two ATI 5850's plus the alluminium resevoir concerns me somewhat.

So thats leaves me in a quandry I don't want to mount the rad on the case at all (its an aesthetic thing) now I've been looking to little avail at what options are avaliable such as stands etc... and except the phobya which isn't the greatest thing to look at what options are there if any?

Final small question is what size rad to go for since im mounting it externally im thinking of going for triple/quad 140mm as it should leave me some headroom for overclocking and upgrades in the future.

what case do you have fella?

also that zalman is not the greatest in the slightes and will not cool your quad and 2 5850's

you would need a dual loop for that, also if you are still set on external then www.watercoolinguk.co.uk do some external mounts

Ok i think perhaps we may have our wires crossed here so to speak. If I'm watercooling the two graphics cards and the processor externally whats wrong with the case? Heat from the hottest components will be dealt with outside of the case. As to the radiator what size am I going to need, since im mounting it externally size isn't much of an issue.

i was thinkin if you had a decent case and size then you could mount it internally as its cleaner.

but mounting externally is fine like i said its just messy.

i would suggest a dual for the CPU and a quad for the graphics, unless you are not overclocking

IF I had a decent case:o the GT is in my opinion pretty much one of the best cases ever built. Anyhow to the point damn shame i cant get everything on one loop but oh well. Thanks for the help I'll just go and price up an extra rad and pump:)

Used to own a gt myself and found it to be one of the most finely precision tooled cases I've ever seen.

Was just a crying shame it was watercooling unfriendly.

Even with the hdd cage and hdd floor mounts removed you would only squeeze a 240 possibly a 360 on the floor, some modding to do there.

Mount hdd in the bays, use a bay res ------- sod it it's not gonna fit!

It's like square peg - round hole.

Yeah its a beautiful case there is literally nothing that comes close to it in terms of build quality. Being a midi case as it is watercooling is always going to be a problem plus i really dont want to start modding a £200+ case far easier to go the external route even with two rads ive got a feeling i can make it quite neat.
