EVGA Motherboards ARE Good!

Smart money is on the Gigabyte UD7 (or whatever, its got a 7 in), as that has all the 333 support and will give pretty good clocks. I still reckon most of the clock limitations are going to cpu based realistically on an x58 board. Avoid like the plague the classified x4 sli and the micro atx evga board though, they apparently are awful clockers and don't have 333 support.

I think EVGA have pushed their boards far harder in Europe than here in the UK. Germany is now the PC gaming capital of the world (believe it or not) and thus EVGA (by no surprise) has based itself in Germany IIRC. I'm sure that's where the email went over my 680i.
Crytek are German (Crysis ETC).
The problem is here in the UK we tend to call a spade a spade, no matter how rude or insulting calling said spade is. And EVGA boards are just not the sort of thing that will do well here. It's bad enough that we get screwed so hard on VAT and everything else, but EVGA boards stand head and shoulders above pretty much ANY board on the market in price. And what you get for that price simply isn't good enough.
They probably have a niche market for the people who base their purchases on what is the most expensive*, but other than that there really isn't any reason to buy one, as you can get better for cheaper.
* Obviously it's nice if you are in a position to buy things based on price. But because the UK pays so much for other things (petrol, food, VAT, poll tax etc) you won't find many people here who are flippant with their spare change. So we tend to want the absolute best bang for our buck (and rightly bloody so, Turkeys are for eating at Christmas).
