Would just like to note that the SC version does not have RGB lighting. Only the FTW version does.

Me... I like the option of choosing for myself what colour I want my rig to be. Even if it means turning them off if I choose so. I still then have the options of turning them back on etc.
Options is always nice and appreciated... Rather than being "controlled".
In the end it all comes down to if you are willing to pay extra for the ftw version which does have rgb. If not than rather go for the SC version. Extra clock speeds on the ftw also not worth the money in my opinion
