Haha yeah that sticker is a bit "in your face". I forgot I don't see posts from King of Old school. Was wondering when he was going to post and say how good this was. Never mind its a budget PSU. I wonder why we still have bronze efficiency ratings in this day and age.

Well then if you have me on the ignore list well that's where your going as well.

The Stinger is Meh, can't say i like the red FTW on the FTW board and the pipe on the classified I don't like but we all have different tastes and that's not a bad thing

Asus have the best bioses which to me means best boards. Some of their design choices are a bit iffy but they usually get it right :)

What's going on... I find myself agreeing with you way too much these days haha.

Yep I think the best selling feature for me is a good highly optimised and customisable BIOS. What good is a board that looks good, and overclocks with a mediocre amount when you can't tweak the living hell out of it.

It could be simply that i am just used to the ASUS Bios now. Since each new chipset, the revisions are similar. Allows me to just jump right in and have fun. I tried Gigabyte and also MSi but they felt a little too clunky for me. This was on Z77 though so that's quite some time ago.

Agreed, but at least most cases now have PSU shrouds hiding them completely. Which thank god because my RM850s yellow sticker would stand out from all the blue in my system

Decent BIOS should be the top of a lot of PC builder's requirements, especially if you want to foray into OC territory. I absolutely loathe the BIOS in my MSI board, I tend to just sort it and forget about. It feels like it was an afterthought with how it's designed and such. But that's probably because I've been using Asus boards for years as well

IMO the heat pipe on the classified isn't that bad....Compare to dual colour PCB that's worse.

That's in your opinion dude, I find the ASUS BIOS to be Meh it works nothing really too flash.

People need to say "In my opinion" more other wise your making it sound like fact which is not.

Only if you take it that way.
Also, if people are writing opinions and you disagree with it, but argue against it saying it's not true... that's arguing over opinions. Not fact.

But in my opinion, EVGA BIOS are crap. Especially the Z170 boards(yes I own one), but ever then since they came into this market, they always reviewed with terrible BIOS's. Asus has the best BIOS's, that's because they make the most money from boards, aka more money to spend on that.

No they don't, this is a discussion forum, unless they cite a source, the information they give/type is already implied to be an opinion by default. We don't need IMO posting all over the place, if it's typed in a text entry box on the forum, you can imagine that it has [IMO][/IMO] tags around it unless there's a link in the post to cite the data from ;)

Oh yes indeed. I tried helping a colleague of mine who delved into PC gaming. In all fairness he got a good deal buying a complete PC on your typical craigs list type of website. It had the EVGA Z170 FTW. I tried to help him with the basics of overclocking but I just found navigating their BIOS horrid. Might be because I am indeed so used to ASUS bios. And the top half of the bios seemed to be just for show making it look like some silly gearshift. Tried to flash with version 1.04 and all hell broke loose. I thought I did some damage. Flashed back to 1.03 and it was working again. I think when frustrations started kicking up, we left it. He's happy in the end but I don't think he touches the bios now.

Well sorry i don't agree with that my brain is wired different.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IMO there's nothing wrong with the EVGA BIOS in fact in think it's one of the best BIOS's out there.

It just comes down that you all are just fussy and can't be pleased, I think there is some people here who love to cr*p on EVGA but when it's other companies you give them a pass.....lol

What's better about an EVGA BIOS over others?

Best design BIOS bye far blows everyone else out of the water, I like the lay out a lot more than all of the other companies.

Explains a lot of the recent arguments on here tbh.

I guess if it's on the internet, it must be true/fact right?

lollest quote of the month goes to..!!

Well that's what they say isn't it.....lol

I could think of ony one thing and thats the voltage display. Even their choice of blue is bad and not good when viewing in a dark room. I don't understand why they need a third of the screen to show some gear shift pattern with information we already know e.g. PCIex 3.0, 16x lane support on X99, which mem slots are occupied. Voltage info= good and useful to see without navigating the menu, CPU temp= pointless in bios for me since its under virtually no stress so I dont care what its idling at.

The bios mystifies me, they present a dark simplistic looking mobo, then go all tacky with the bios.
