The EU wants iPlayer and Now TV Access Across Europe as part of their "Single Digital Market Strategy". Perhaps a United European Netflix may be coming Soon with the help of this strategy.

This whole thing about a 'single market' is nonsense that's why the EU isn't working. Europe is too diverse for every country to have the same rules and regulations. The two richest countries per head in Europe are Norway and Switzerland and guess what, they're not in the EU, oh surprise surprise.

Thankfully the UK will be out of the EU by the end of the year and ready to engage with the rest of the world again.

Because you don't pay the TV licence fee like us in the UK. If they made it free across the EU then they would need to rethink the licence fee

That would mean they need to have a separate site considering the uk already pay through the licence fee, and lets face it given a choice between a vpn or paying 90% of people would use a vpn the BBC only have crap on anyway well most stuff on TV is crap imo

I only ever used i player for top gear and the service was slow as sluge the 'HD' streaming was a joke blocky and low biterate it was faster to torrent the show and watch it in a much higher bitrate.
Thay can keep it....and thay killed top gear so who care's?

Norway is rich because of Oil and Switzerland is rich because of how stable they've been leading to an excellent place to store money.

People forget that the UK will lose 3 million jobs which are all directly tied to the EU if it decides to leave the EU, Prices will go up when importing things from the EU, There are many many ramifications that sadly have been overshadowed with pure BS and spin doctoring.
