So a friend of mine has recently switched from wireless to ethernet and his connection speeds are weird. while his download speed has increased, like it should have, the upload speed dropped from 13mb/s to 0.5 mb/s. he then plugged the cable into his laptop and everything ran just fine, so the cable and the router are fine.
The ethernet port is set to 100mb/s.
So basically everything is ruled out besides the driver, which he is reinstalling atm and maybe some issue with the OS.
any ideas?

driver reinstall boosted the upload speed to 10mb/s
