All hail :amd: :worship: . :intel: is a cheating, lieing, bad bad company. :awhip: :nono:

They pay off large companies & stores to NOT carry :amd: .

That's not cool man.

My local Circuit City has about 8 P4 HT boxes, 1 Pentium D box, and at the END of the isle, two eMachine AMD Sempron's.

So, of course, if someone goes there, they're gonna buy INTEL.

you know.. before you got your amd rig you were an intel fanboy.. not to mention the fact that you like dell..

and how is this relevant to the topic? honestly.. :topic:

Having owned high end version of both intel and amd, i would have to say its a tie as far as im concerned. AMD does have some big advantages, but Intel are great too - especially with video editing, dvd ripping and things like that.

Also, where did you hear about Intel paying shops not to stock AMD, it does strike me as being BS, because AMD would have sue'd the nuts off intel by now for that kind of foul play.

They are in court with Intel right now.

I remember reading something about a customer in Best Buy who asked a salesman why they don't have AMD. I forgot what he responded wtih, but it was exposed by The Inquirer. Dell was tempted to use AMD but Intel is paying them off.

nick you seem to be under the impression that intel has given dell millions to not use amd. they have simply given dell a price they cant refuse on intel products, and asked that they only use intel. amd do the exact same thing with other companies, but due to the size of dell it seems to be more of a big deal. seriously why cant u just accept them both as makers of good procesors.
