Epic's next three free games have leaked - A great collection of PC titles

Wonder if it even pays off for them. Offering all these free games does anyone even pay anything ever or invest any sort of capital into the storefront?

Their games are all full RRP. I would imagine that is how they get by.

When I lived in the USA PC games were $50 for the latest game. That wasn't a trend followed by the UK at the same time. I paid £25 for Crysis when it launched here in the UK. Now all of a sudden games are digital, requiring no discs or media, no case, no paper etc and they are all £50. Even though there are no licensing fees involved in PC games, yet console games with the fees cost the same.

Something else you can't get are cheap keys from CDKeys for Epic store. So it's full RRP or go away.

They did send me a £10 voucher. I might use that to pre order THPS remasters. We'll see.

Apparently there was some discount I wasn't even aware of too. I bought Far Cry 5 today since it was on sale, $29CDN for the gold edition, and I ended up getting a free $14 discount for some reason, so it ended up at $16CDN total. Not sure where that came from, or if it was FC5 related, but it appeared to be a generic discount.

Yeah you get a free £10 coupon that you can redeem on anything over £14 (Idk how that translates to other pricing), when combined with the sale you can snag a good deal to be fair.

I've bought a few games all Quantic Dream during their first sale/deals when all games above £x amount got a big discount, Star wars fallen order got 2 copies of the deluxe for the price of 1 during a sale, and Satisfactory when it first released at reduced price.

So with the discounts I've probably spend £120, What I do find is I'll buy a game on steam if it sounds like I'll like it, on Epic it has to be a game I really want.

Edit just got Red dead 2 ultimate for £37 with the sale and £10 voucher so half it's normal price

Yeah that will be the voucher I got for £10. Which is a first tbh.

If the voucher applies to Metro Exodus, I'm getting that game's DLC. Would make it £5. Noice!

Already own the game. Just got the Expansion pass for £4.99.

Just did the same. I've not completed the game yet, mostly because there was no cloud save and I have three PCs. However, once I am settled down with the new one I will have at it properly.

If you're stuck, move the save games to dropbox. The saves for this game are easy to find. If you can't see them, head to the PC Gaming Wiki. Drag and drop on which PC you are using and replace the files on dropbox when you are finished.

Can also use a USB drive too. I've done that.

I set up a a "launcher" in Excel that uses macros to set up symbolic links to my OneDrive whenever I launch a game. It's great because it means a I have a single launcher to use regardless of where the game comes from, and all my saves are always in sync with my cloud. I've used it for years to play games in various places; work, home, friends houses. Anywhere I can sync my OneDrive I can access all my saved games with a single click.

It also means that all my saves are backed up, even if I'm not playing a particular game in multiple places. Hardware failure isn't going to cost me any loss of progress at all.
