Electronic Arts has purchased one of it's gaming development studios responsible for the Battlefield franchise. Do you think that this is the way of the future for smaller gaming studios? Simply waiting around for game publishers to swallow them up; or can you see some benefits for us consumers? Feel free to discuss below...

EA are the Kings of uselessness in the games scene. Be prepared for even more unpatched first releases when EA tell Game studio's that it NEEDS TO BE OUT NOW

Yeah I agree totally mate. It'd be nice if smaller game houses could survive against the likes of EA, Ubi etc. I'm sure the owners would appreciate the injection of cash, and the fact that they don't have to re-mortgage the house everytime they want to release a game; but in return they make a deal with the devil. One can only imagine the pressure imposed by a publisher in the lead up to the game's release, and you can understand why they are released quite often, with so many bugs

Ugg EA ruin things. They are also resposible for bringing the sims to this world. Which should be a criminal offence.
