So that costs you at least 2 and most probably 3 sata slots instead of 1? :o No thanks I'll take one of those higher capacity higher performance 2.5" models.
 
it could be ok if you use multiple machines with e-sata.... wait a 32 GB pen stick will be cheaper then these... nvm lol
 
It's not that bad, I mean if the price is right (and I'm thinking USB stick + small premium for SATA price) you can get 2-4 of these and build a RAID0 array for 32-64GB of data...

even raided it would be slow as hell!
 
Excellent idea tbh.

U could massage the direct port connection with a port extension.

I'd reserve judgement on the market effectiveness until the price comes out.

Theoretically I'd expect a USB pen drive price. esata controllers are cheap enough. But being as it's new and gimmicky, u could add £50 on top of that for no real reason.
