EK releases an RGB Radeon RX Vega GPU water block

Pretty, but they are a bit brave releasing that. Mostly because hardly any one will be able to get the card it fits to. Not sure if miners WC but I would doubt it.

Read a very interesting article a few days ago about how PC gaming was basically going into hibernation now until at least 2019. I can agree tbh. What with RAM, SSD and GPU prices it's not worth building anything more than a Vega APU W/8gb atm.

That's really cool honestly. Wish they made a version for there Aluminum GTX kits. Might just push me over to buy one

Oh yeah I deffo give it a 10 for looks tbh. I love the port area too. It's huge and it looks like you could use some big old fat fittings on there with no issues.

I just think it's far better design rather than having yet ANOTHER cable plugged into the side of the 3mm hole of the block for the LED. On top of that the LED isn't even RGB so limits choice.

It is interesting though to see them do it with Vega first. They probably figured if nobody likes it we won't lose much because it's a low volume product anyway(compared to GTX).

I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing as I browsed the comments. This is a great way to test a new product on the consumer without breaking the bank so to speak.

My only gripe is that the black strip once in a darkened case makes the GPU block look a little "narrow" to me. Personal preference obviously but, looking at it lit up on the EK twitter post, it feels a tad skinny.

I hate to swear (children, cover you ears) but if miners do water cool then being single slot is important. My Fury X is single slot and the end ports are a bit skinny. Mind you, so is the card I guess.

Nah you misunderstand me.

I'm not talking about the slot size. I mean with the black strip running across the face now. Under darkness with lighting on the clear plexi, that lit up area looks thinner. It's not actually thinner at all. its just a false perception because you don't see the 20mm thick black strip running across the block.

Ohhh. Yeah I see what you mean now :D

I like it. Funny place to put it though, unless the GPU is vertical.
