Just tried it out, very easy to use and understand. Only issue I ran into was that it did not recommend a Rad for me and said I had inefficient cooling.. Well obviously EK:p

there's a choice on the page that has a picture of the case and above where it says "inefficient cooling" a drop down you can choose a rad

Hate it!

It's a pathetic attempt by EK to coax you into getting everything from them. Most water cooling enthusiasts already have a loop, and more often than not are just looking for a block for a newly updated component. It's really annoying having to go through these steps. Besides, even for a brand new build, most of us have certain preferences from other quality manufacturers such as Swiftech, Monsoon, Koolance, etc. EK is in fact very good, but in my mind they don't make all the best components. How customized will my loop be if you limit my choice of parts to only those from EK?

Nobody is forcing you to use it. If it bothers you that much, don't use it?!

Don't spread hate for the sake of hate please. If it was only configurator button on the site you could say that. But next to it it is a regular shop button. Why not use that? It is same online shop like on any other site.

I really like their configurator and the Watercooling kits form EK, Alphacool,... There are more regular people out there then us PC Master Race. Not every one has spent 15-20 years on building PCs and following technology releases. Options are good.

If you are thinking about a particular build and have a couple of cases in mind and a loop layout you can use this to see which case will fit your needs better. it doesn't force you to buy from EK, just use it for what it is a guide

I thought it was a very nice configurator and as someone has already said super easy to understand!

Kudos EK

It's not pathetic, It's for people who want to get everything from 1 vendor, Are they making you buy everything from them by holding a gun to your head ?No, This is a simple configurator so you can get everything in 1 place hassle free.

It's a non issue, Don't like it then don't use it.

Nobody is forcing you to dislike it. If you are so in love with it, sleep with it!?

This is just so you can see how stupid you sounded. Frankly I couldn't care less what you do, and your suggestion of not using it was not a new concept, but thank you for trying to be helpful.

Just because you yet to encounter such scenario, do not assume that it only applies to me. I think I speak for more than a few users who, when choosing a new graphics card, base their decisions heavily upon the availability of water blocks. Why should I have to tell it what motherboard, RAM, and especially, chassis I have, and then go through the survey while it forcibly sticks radiators, pumps, reservoirs, and fans into my cart when I simply want to know about a water block for a graphics card?

Before you claim that you will never be in such situation, let me first say "Don't speak too soon!"

Like I said in my last post,

When I clicked the configurator button like I usually do and got this, I simply assumed they had removed the old one. Then I clicked the shop button after someone pointed it out in his post, I saw the old configurator that is ideal for my task. In light of this, I apologize and agree that it was certainly a useful addition! Praise to EK!

I'm sure you can understand my frustration. You'd think it's pretty ed up too if they did remove it, wouldn't you?
