Does anyone know if it's possible to edit the BIOS on a P5N32E-SLI? The BIOS is a Phoenix Award BIOS.
So far I have tried all available versions of modbin, modbin6 and Phoenix BIOS Editor (2.0, 2.1, 2.2). None of them can open the BIOS. The closest I got was Phoenix BIOS Editor 2.1 which can open the BIOS but everything is corrupt.
I found a version of CBROM that works but you can't really do much editing with it.
I need to alter the BIOS hidden settings, or enable hidden menus. I want to use the security features on my HDD, but the BIOS does not facilities for setting a password. I found some software that could set one, but it looks like the BIOS is freezing the security settings on boot. I imagine it's to prevent a virus setting a password on the HDD but it also means I can't set one. So, either I need to stop the BIOS freezing the HDD or enable the hidden password settings menus...
I emailed Asus but they are no help.
It must be possible!
