Impressive, lets hope others follow suit - this seems like the CPU to consider (low power draw/heat etc...) - it's multi GPU more likely Crossfire (unconfirmed at this time).

Now - are the hole centre's for skt479 mounts the same as skt 478 (thinking out loud to Mach compatability)?

Definitely not the previous skt479 dimension, but look as if they are the same as the skt478 - which is much better IMO, as there is already a huge amount of coolers for that socket type :)

Epox has just released one as well :D

market is opeing up. The last time i used epox mobo it was a 8kha+ it was my first mobo and i loved it it was rock solid :D

Yonah and conroe are all set to raise the bar thats for sure.

If I recall the skt 478/9 CPU's are VERY prone to bent pins, but then I hear that the LGA775 socket is as well.

The mobos are horrendously priced though.

The Aopen Yonah desktop board is £200 :(

Thing is if these babies (yonahs) are not cold bugged and with such a low thermal output (35w) then anyone from air thru to phase will hvae a field day overclocking them.

Come on Nvidia, sort out either decent SLI, or allow others to do it properly (the way it's meant to be played) on an Intel board FFS.

The intended use for Intel core duo on MoDT (mobile on desktop) mobo is being the center of digital living room whre the system run everything with little heat.

And once in a while you can bench it with cascade and beat....:)

The only bad thing (for next year I guess) is that there are no 64bit extensions in yonah, having said that, it's hardly had an impact since being first released in 2004.

Looking forward to seeing these in action Dumo - the ORB will be turned upside down.

People have been achieving nearly 100% OC on air with these if I am not mistaken?

One drawback could be the topless core - I guess you just have to be very careful with a chilly head when installing.
