EA announces planned delisting for classic Battlefield games

I have no issue with servers being shutdown if the game has a single player campaign, 3, 4 and Hardline have really decent single player campaigns... but the eventual complete de-listing from store fronts is just scummy. Would it really cost EA much beyond a few pennies each day to keep the games available on the store front so people could buy them for their single player ? I doubt it.

This is just another reason why going all digital was a very bad idea.

delisting from stores is one thing, but delisting from your own library is completely different.

Battlefield 3 is my all time favourite game hands down, followed by 2142 and 4.
I essentially haven't played any other game than Battlefield 3, that game were truly ground breaking in terms of graphics in the franchise and games overall for it's time.

Bad Company 2 and BF3 multiplayer were just an absolute joy to play. Easily best of the franchise. BF4 wasn't bad either but it was more of a BF3.5.
