Hi All,
I am a recent convert to c2d as I have been an avid amd supporter since K6 days however amd just dont have anything at all to touch these chips and it doesn't look like they will for some time to come that is if they survive much longer!! Anyway i am going off the point here sorry, as stated I have a c2d E6600 on an asus P5NE-SLi mobo with 2x1gig sticks of OCZ Platinum rev2 pc6400 ram And I seem to be hitting a wall with my overclock I am at 1423fsb giving me 3.2Ghz with the stock multiplier of x9 I upped my vcore to 1.36v and my northbridge to 1.563v my mem is at 395.3Mhz with a 4-4-4-15 2t command my chip is a conroe B2 stepping and was wondering if this board has a wall at around the 1423fsb area and is there a way around it I really would like to get stability for a good 24/7 everyday overclock rather than a 1 off overclock that is unstable. my temps are 27deg both cores idle and can get to 41-42 deg loaded which i believe is not too bad. I have had some reasonable results whilst overclocking my old athlon64's but i am led to believe that these c2d chips can overclock like crazy
Many Thanks
