right seemed to have hit a small problem (sorry best say hi all first)

have got an E2140 with an Asus commando with a view to overclocking the processor to 3ghz (not wanting to push it to 3.2 which i know people have). i can only get it to 350fsb anything over that and it wont post atall!

i have flashed the bios and and was hoping to get the most out the cpu with out messing to much with the voltages! so at the moment i'm on 2.6ghz and thats as far as it will go!

Welcome to the forum mate! :)

And I am afraid you are gunna have to touch the voltage. There is nothing you can do.

But I wouldn't worry.. C2D can take alot of voltage.

What have you got cooling the chip?

i got a freezer pro on it at the mo so i dont think that should be a problem. i'm not sure what volts to start off on as when i go to manuel it dont start off at current voltage!

which ones and what order should be changed first?

cheers for the help

Well, get the CPU to the max speed you got it on stock volts and then increase the voltage by lets say.. o.5 of a volt.

Then increase the FSB kalways booting to check that the PC is stable and use

a program to stress the CPU as well.

Keep an eye on temp, don't let the LOAD temp of the CPU rise above 60oC.

Other than that you should be fine. Just keep repeating until the temps get to high or the voltage gets to high.. don't go above 1.5v on air. ;)

Good luck mate!
