Hey people i have a gigabyte ga-73vm-s2 mobo paired with a E1200 processor which is overclocked to 2.60GHz at the moment but i want to push it further. The problem is if every time i try to go past 2.6GHz i keeps telling me to lower my cpu voltage and that its in safe mode. It will only run at this setting if i put the memory setting to unlinked.

The core voltage is set as 1.3250V and the power supply is a 600w artic cooling psu. It seems to be stable but i want to push it further.

Any suggestions guys? Cud it be the power supply or mobo perhaps?

All help welcome

Thanks in advane

Ive looked in the manual and theres no option to do wth safe mode. Apparently in other forums people said its supposed to do that to stop damage to the mobo. Its built into the bios.

I managed to get a successful OC to 2.80GHz and that was with a Vcore of 1.525v which wasent stable but i think thats my lot to be honest. Another thing is ive got an option called robust graphics booster on my I.M.T in the bios menu which i can adjut between 1-50%. I have got it running at 25% and the CPU at 2.0GHz at the moment and its nice and stable.

Im currently scouting around for a new Mobo that is very good for OCing for around the £120 mark and was thinking about the ASUS P5Q Deluxe. I need a Mobo that can handle a 555MHz FSB OC and still be stable.

Are there any other good Mobo's in this price range?

:p
