Thought I'd create a list of available DX12 benchmarks, Games and games that have been updated to DX12 like PCARS will.


I'll be updating this as and when new info is released just as a reference point for people :)

First proper graphical DX12 tech demo available for download above.
Made by quite a talented modder known as CryZenx, He simply enhanced the Unreal Elemental demo and ported it over to DX12.

He didn't port the engine over to DX12 though, that was Microsoft.

You're quite mistaken dude and I think you've gotten the total wrong end of the stick here.

The original demo is a DX11 demo, Run the original Elemental demo on Windows 10 and you'll see this.

He ported it over from DX11 to DX12 using the latest Unreal Engine update but you need Windows 10 for it to work properly, Simples :)

Not sure what you mean by porting. If you mean he simply recompiled it with the latest editor then I agree.

Nah that's not entirely true :p I have a personal interest in UE4's DX12 support so I just wanted to clarify. I may recompile the other demos for DX12.

The DX12 integration is just a bit too buggy at moment. Need to wait until the Kite Demo works properly.

I actually really like RTS games.

Played the Dawn of War series to death, Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander, C&C, Lord of the Rings but never really got into the likes of Total War.

Loved C&C as a kid and love TW. I noticed you had many TW titles but hardly any playing time. I have CoH but honestly I don't understand how to play it... Never played DoW

CoH is honestly very easy, It's actually not too far from C&C in the respect of building your base fortifying it and building units and vehicles :)

DoW is all out awesomeness !

DoW 2 and the expansions are good but they are mainly focused around 1 squad and the story behind them and it got away from the classic base building which was annoying :(

I know it's similar but I get confused with the controls:p
TW is my favorite RTS though. The older C&C like 3(and their expansions) and Red Alert 3 used to be my favorites.
