Dusty folding rig

This rig with an i7-970 @ 4.2ghz has been folding big-adv on ubuntu-linx 24/7 for nearly a year.It was time to clean it properly,taking it to pieces.

It has been vacuumed and dusted off every month,but as pictures shown,not enough.

Wow, that was extremely dusty. Mine gets that bad after 6 months, which is why I cleaned my rig after the first 4 months.

A tip.. Buy a box of women's pop socks. They fit perfectly over the 120mm fans and serve as monthly throwaway filters.

That's alot of dust I have a dusty room, don't have a folding rig as of yet though, but fan filters keep most of the dust out of my system

I have the HAF X as well. I usually try to blow out the front and side fan filter once a month, but the other day I thought I'd open it up to clean it all out...

It had been 6 months and there was no visible dust ANYWHERE. No lie. I have no idea how it stays so clean. :S

Kinda sounds like it doesn't run 24/7 CPU and GPU's @ 100% load.

lol yea i know, i have a HAF X and i vacuum the dust filters and the insides, and i still get dust building up ......

That is epic. I have delt with a PC that was starting to get close to that amount of dust... but that PC is just on another level.
