Dual monitor

Hey all! let me explain my config really quick.

I have my 5870 plugged into a Samsung P2770H and the second is a old 19" gateway LCD monitor. I usually watch TV on the 19" one while I am on my PS3 or surfing the internet. Is their any way I can view TV or do anything else while I have a game playing on the 19" one? Is their software that allows this?

that is what i am using (theoretically). I have a AVer Media DVR http://www.avermedia.com/avertv/product/ProductDetail.aspx?Id=528.

Here is how I have it configured: DVR is plugged into PCIx1 slot, it is then split with a HDMI to composite/component which is plugged into my Receiver in the HDMI in on the DVR, it then goes out via HDMI out to my Gateway monitor. This is how i got TV with my DVR.

Is their any work around so I can use that software (AVer Media Driver software) & play a game.

I used to use a 15" alongside my 22" and it was fine. Open media center, drag it to the secondary monitor then simply fire up your game.

I have this same issue, it pretty much comes down to luck.

Some programs work while you are playing a game and some others done, WMP works for me on my second monitor but VLC doesnt.

And anything that is on the web cannon really be used at a proper size while playing a game.

There is also the problem with controls, luckily I have controls on my keyboard but if you don't every time you want to change channel or something you have to minimize the game which sometimes means you will never get it back (some games really don't like being minimized in the middle of play)

I have no idea if there are any programs that can help with this, but if you do find any, please tell me about them
