Does this gpu need RMA?

Hey guys, got a Evga Gtx 780 classified about a week or so ago and have noticed a weird pitched noise coming from my gpu when it throttled up past 45% fan speed and then when past that point just air noise then when it throttles down it makes the same weird whirring pitched noise at 44-45% fan speed. Extremely annoying, at it sits at that fanspeed a bit. Is this an RMA issue?

Any info would be great on this matter

:)

Do you, by any means, mean coil whine?

If so, sometimes this can be fixed by letting the card run under maximum load for a while. If this doesn't help there's not much I can do, and I believe that coil whine is seen as a good reason to RMA a product.

Try setting up a custom fan profile in afterburner or similar so you skip the 44/45% fan speed...
I dont think it would be accepted for RMA....

No this is not coil whine I think.
Try to do as FTLN said and see if it works. If the sound only appears for a second or so then I think you're going to have to live with it.

Yeah, it's just at I'd say 43-46% fan speed, like a chirping noise :/

As for FTLN, do I just set the fan speed at a constant 47% upwards? Is that what you mean?

No, just said that when it as at X temp/load it can go up till 42%, then the next degree it ramps up to 47%. That was it will skip the 43-46% area in which case you won't (or barely) be annoyed by the noise.
