Were i can by an expansion slot panel with precuts wholes in to fit 1/2 tubbing through? Its just i am going to mount my rad externally and don't have the tools to cut the wholes out with :(

Drill holes in the rear of the case, only way to do it neatly really. A dremel will sort you that out no problem :)

An easy way I just thought of would be to use tin snips and remove the metal around 2 or 3 expansion slots so you have a large gap ... pretty messy though

im shoutting your idea down mate but would it not be easier just to drill out a whole to fit the 1/2 tubbing through i want to try and keep it simple as its my first water cooled rig.

Drill 2x 1" holes in the rear, purchase 2x DangerDen Fillports

Take the caps out. Replace each cap with a G1/4" to 1/2" hose fitting.

Done.

I came scrambling looking for this thread and I almost thought u`d suggested the idea I had.

Is it feasible to take a pci slot plate and drill holes big enough to fit some kind of "Y" arrangement ? What I`m thinking is the end of the "Y" with 2 tubes can be half the size of the single end. Or if possible, add a 3rd ? Or use 2 plates, one for in and one for out.

Just struck me as I looked at a rig, u could exit the case via a "Y" (or 3 to 1) and outside the case have another that goes back to u`r regular tubing ?

pfft I dunno, I`m not wc`er. Just figured u`d maintain the flow.

i understand what you are saying but i think it would be easier just to drill two holes and im trying to keep costs down (aren't we all lol) so if i have 'straight through' tubbing it will be cheaper but its something to think about for a future rig.

:D

If you're going to run the tubing "straight through" you might want to consider finishing the hole off with some blowhole trim. It should also help prevent any sharp edges on your hole cutting into the tubing.
